Darul Uloom Deoband preparing for anti-terrorism meet

Deoband : Darul Uloom Deoband will host a national anti-terrorism meet on February 25, 2008. Preparations for the meet are going on in full swing as 14 committees have been formed to look at different aspects of the preparations. Ulema from all schools of Islamic thought have been invited to the meet.

Maulana Marghoobur Rahman, director of Darul Uloom Deoband, said whenever any incident of terrorism occurs anywhere in the country; madrasas and their students are accused. He said the meeting will give Muslim scholars and leaders an opportunity to discuss all aspects of terrorism. They will discuss how to tackle the conspiracy hatched to tarnish the image of madrasas. Among others, representatives of Brelvis, Ahle Hadees and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind have been invited to the programme.
